Save the Date – Sunland North Happy Hour 2026

When: 3rd Thursday of June, July, August, and September
Where: The Cabana – 1510 Jamestown Rd (corner of Serpentine Ave and
Jamestown Rd)
Time: 4-6 PM

  • August 20
  • September 17

A reminder will be sent out each month a couple weeks before the happy
hour.

Bring an appetizer or dessert to share and your choice of beverage.
Spouses, friends and neighbors are welcome so if you know of someone who
didn’t get this email and wants to come, please forward it to them.

If the sun is out, we will have some fun games for those who would like
to participate.

Sunland North January 2025 Newsletter

The January 2025 newsletter is now available on the website. Yes, this is being posted just before midnight of 2025.

This issue has suggestions for New Year’s resolutions (one, at least), and a list of things you can do to help make the neighborhood a more livable, fun, and thriving community. There is also a recipe for deer repellent, in case you want to discourage unannounced trimming of your bushes and flowers.

We also have some short summaries of recent accomplishments and announcements of future projects. We also have a new feature profiling three recent arrivals to our community,

January 2025 Newsletter 

Holiday Lights Brighten Sunland North

Banishing the gray of winter, the Sunland North community strung thousands of lights and other decorations to bring a festive atmosphere this year. Trees, bushes, garages, porches, and lamposts were covered with lights, ribbons, wreaths, and other seasonal decorations.

There was even a Santa Sasquatch.

Sunland North Holiday Party 2023

For many years, Sunland North has had a holiday party in December. Due to a global pandemic, we had to forgo a party in 2021, but picked it up again in 2022. This year, we once again got together as a community to enjoy a meal together in a festive environment, and we didn’t have to clean up afterward.

Sunland North October 2023 Newsletter

The October 2023 newsletter is now available. Thank you, Kathy Gross, for putting together this issue, which includes information on the September annual meeting and election of the new Board of Directors, a short article on how the homeowner association handles investments, an article on earthquake preparedness, an announcement of a holiday party in December, information on insurance, a reminder to shut off external faucets and disconnect hoses, and an elk.

September 2023 Happy Hour

Bring an appetizer or dessert to share and your choice of beverage.   We will provide plates, cups, napkins and cutlery.  Spouses, friends and neighbors are welcome so if you know of someone who didn’t get this email and wants to come, please forward it to them.  

If you have a lawn game that you would like to bring and share, it would be welcome and appreciated!  

Please RSVP so we can be sure to have enough plates and cups.

Picnic table and benches are available for outside and inside use.  However, bring your lawn chair if you prefer to sit in something other than a bench.
