  • Landscaping Update: Recently there was a mowing of the open space. More area was mowed because of Poison Hemlock found in the open space and in order to contain the spread of this contagious weed it was necessary to mow and spray the effected areas. As a reminder, if you have landscape concerns or notice an area in need of attention, contact Mr. Lee Cox, landscape liaison, in writing. Mr. Cox walks the community regularly with the landscape service provider.

Please do not adjust the landscaping sprinkler timing systems. These are to be adjusted for proper landscape maintenance by Parsinen Landscape Maintenance only. If you have suggestions as to possible adjustments you would like to make to your timing system, contact Lee Cox in writing.

  • Exterior Maintenance Update: Since the summer months are upon us, it is necessary for common exterior maintenance work to be conducted. This year we have hired a new contractor to do a less invasive roof cleaning to the effected areas. They will also conduct a moss treatment that will prevent moss growth for an extended time and result in less roof maintenance. The homes that are slated for this years roof treatment are listed below. Please be aware that this is a necessary maintenance to ensure the lifetime warranty of your roofs and ensure aesthetics of your community. We appreciate your patience.

Richard Helmenstine is and has been administrating all exterior maintenance work in Sunland North. He selflessly ensures your neighborhood is properly cared for. In addition to the major maintenance work as described above he also has tirelessly been replacing exterior lighting, can light replacements and many other hundreds of repairs needed in Sunland North.

As a friendly reminder to all homeowners, please do not repair or change bulbs in any exterior light fixtures that are the responsibility of the Association to repair properly. Installing incorrect bulbs in these light fixtures can possibly cause more harm and repairs. Please route any exterior maintenance issues through the Association. Workers are instructed to facilitate work only approved by the Association.

Exterior Maintenance requests are only accepted in writing. By mail or email to the Association in order for items to be properly routed and repairs facilitated. Instructions for submitting requests can be found on the Owners section of the Sunland North website.

  • We have received inquiries as to the transition date for Sunland Division 17 Owners Association from Declarant Control to the Owners. This information is stated in Section 3 of the CC&R’s. Based on current sales volume, we anticipate transfer to an all-Owner Board of Directors in 2012. The Board of Directors will elect a new President at the appropriate time as this is not an Owner elected position.
