Mt. Baker and Sunland North

Welcome!

This Sunland Division 17 Owners Association website is a resource for those living in Sunland North, as well as those interested in joining our neighborhood and looking to learn more. The Association’s governing documents are available on this site to help ensure that owners have ready access to this fundamental information, as well as other useful material such as newsletters, contact information, forms, and historical data. The site also serves as one of several communication channels available between the Board of Directors and our owners and residents, providing updates about Association activities, plans, and finances.

SunLand, located on Washington State’s beautiful North Olympic Peninsula, is the largest residential community in Sequim, and includes more than 900 private homes. Sunland North — Sunland’s newest and final subdivision — is located at the southeast corner of Woodcock Road and Sequim-Dungeness Way. It is made up of 139 townhomes in two- and three-unit buildings within an association of jointly maintained lawns, landscaping, and building exteriors. In addition to our 23 acres of lots, the 33 acres surrounding the division are dedicated to green space. The roads are maintained by Clallam County.

Board Meeting Schedule

In 2024, the Sunland Division 17 board will meet at The Gathering Place, 135 Fairway Drive. If in-person meetings are not allowed, meetings will be held via Zoom. Meetings are set for the second Wednesday of each month, from 2:30 – 4:30 pm. All Division 17 owners are welcome to attend and observe the meeting, plus there is a scheduled Owner Comment period. Exceptions to date and time sometimes occur; owners will be notified of such changes via this website or email.

Sunland Division 17 Owners Association exists for two primary purposes:

  • To manage and enforce Sunland North’s governing documents — the Covenants, Conditions, and Restrictions (CC&Rs), Rules & Regulations, and Bylaws; and
  • To maintain the common areas of the Sunland North subdivision and the exterior of our townhomes. To accomplish this, the Sunland Division 17 Owners Association collects division-specific homeowner dues and has agreements with local contractors to perform landscaping and maintenance activities for the subdivision.

We rely on neighbor volunteers. It’s a cost-saving measure to keep assessments as low as possible, and it helps shape the character of our neighborhood. We want people to participate, and to contribute their ideas and their skills. Our board of directors is composed of elected volunteers who manage the association’s activities and business affairs; our committees are working committees – for example, member volunteers do twice-yearly inspections of all unit exteriors and help maintain the open space. Not everyone can contribute in the same way, of course; but it all makes a difference to our quality of life here in Sunland North.

We hope you’ll explore this site and encourage you to become familiar with the information and resources available to you. If you have questions or need more information, please see the “About Us” tab for names of our board members and volunteer committee chairs, or use the “Contact Us” tab to send a message.
